Arriva to start new rail services in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

ARRIVA vlaky express trains will begin operation on Prague – Čerčany – Benešov route starting with February 29.  “Several hundred people commute daily by train from Benešov to Prague. The corridor is repaired and the train journey to the city center is faster compared to bus or car transport. We see great potential, ” said Daniel Adamek, CEO of ARRIVA vlaky.

Arriva will use DB’s Class 628 DMUs, previously operated on the pilot unsubsidised passenger service on Prague – Kralupy nad Vltavou route.

The company will also launch services on Prague – Olomouc – Uherské Hradiště – Trenčín (Slovakia) route starting with March 5.
