The purpose of this acquisition is to exploit synergies between the new entity of Axtone Group and other companies and consistent implementation of strategy positioning Axtone as a segment leader among suppliers of coil springs for rolling stock. Integration with another company with a similar profile of the Group’s production – namely the German leader in the manufacture of springs for the railway sector – Langen & Sondermann , which shares Axtone bought in 2012 will be of particular importance. Combination of the production capacity of the two companies, their potential for development both technical and world customer base will strengthen the role of Axtone on market of coil springs for rolling stock.
Axtone, since the establishment of the group in 2006, successfully implements the strategy of dynamic growth, based on three main areas: the development of new products, expansion into new markets, the consolidation of companies in the area of railway components manufacturers.
Activities related to the development of new products, result in Axtone having the leading position among others CRASH technology suppliers. CRASH solutions allow absorption of very high energy of collisions, and more broadly they are known as passive safety applications in railway vehicles. Also in the railway spring segment development of new products and applications, caused that Axtone products are used in railway vehicles operated not only in Europe but also in North America and Asia.
The purchase of HSW Zakład Sprężynownia Sp. z o.o., one of the main suppliers of railway springs on the European market, is an important step in the further development of the Group Axtone.
