Belarusian Railways’ TME3 shunting locomotive on display at InnoTrans

Belarusian Railways’ TME3 shunting locomotive will be at InnoTrans. Developed by Czech company CZ LOKO and assembled at Leda Locomotive Depot, the two-axle shunting locomotive TME3 is part of the investment project “Modernization and manufacturing of shunting locomotives in the Republic of Belarus”.

Two-axle  TME3 locomotive is  designed for light and medium, heavy shunting operations mainline track and industrial sidings and lines. The axle load is 23 tonnes and the the maximum speed is 60 km/h. The locomotive is equipped with  Caterpillar C15 (403kW) diesel engine and a Siemens alternating current generator.

Currently, the Belarusian Railways operates eight TME3 units. Other 12 locomotives are scheduled for production by the end of 2015.
