Bosnia & Herzegovina Railway and Railway of Republika Srpska discussed joint-service offering with Serbian Railways

Representatives of  Bosnia & Herzegovina Railway and Railway of Republika Srpska discussed the possibility of joint-service offering with Serbian Railways, in order to come to the transport market with a competitive price offer.

Nijaz Puzić, Chairman of the Board – CEO  of Bosnia & Herzegovina Railway, stated that the meeting held focused on commercial and technical co-operation, on the development of a common market for the provision of transport services, as well an attempt to establish a common tariff or joint-service offering.

Serbian Railways aim to increase freight traffic on Ruma-Sabac-Zvornik route and further to Bosnia & Herzegovina Federation and to Republika Srpska. Restarting passenger services  from Belgrade to Sarajevo was also analysed. The first pilot project could be Ruma-Zvornik-Tuzla and if the number of passengers will increase, the project could also include Banja Luka and Sarajevo.
