Bouygues Travaux Publics to build new tunnel separating Baku Metro’s Red and Green lines

Baki Metropoliteni (Baku Metro) and Bouygues Travaux Publics  signed a contract for the construction of a new tunnel separating the Red and Green lines at the ‘28th May ′metro station, where they intersect. The separation of the lines will enable the reduction of the interval between trains e.g. from 4 to 2 minutes on the route Darnagul -28th May, and will increase traffic safety.

Construction works are expected to be completed in 2016.

The contract was signed by Zaur Huseynov, Chairman of Baki Metropoliteni and Jean-Denys Arnal, Executive Director International Development at Bouygues Travaux Publics.

The Memorandum of Understanding with Bouygues Travaux Publics was signed on 12 May 2014, in the framework of the Azerbaijani-French Business Forum in Baku.
