Bulgarian Railways signs EUR 18.5 million infrastructure development contracts

Bulgarian National railway infrastructure company (NRIC) has signed EUR 18.5 million contracts. Two contracts were signed with Vector Bul (Lot 1, BGN 1 million) and Association CE 22 (lot 2, BGN 8.8 million) for Update of detailed project design for  Vidin – Sofia and project preparation for Vidin – Medkovets ( 66 km)  railway section modernisation.

NRIC and Elih Association signed  a BGN 10 million contract for Preparation of a detailed project design for “Modernisation of Sofia – Plovdiv railway line, sections Sofia – Elin Pelin, Elin Pelin – Septemvri” project, lot 2. For Lot 3 of the project a BGN 15.88 million contract was awarded to EGIS – Eurotransproject  consortium. 

Both projects are co-financed from EU’s Cohesion Fund (CF), under the Operational Programme “Transport” 2007-2013.
