Russian Railways and Kazakhstan Railways have agreed on a common approach for the development of JSC United Transport and Logistics Company (UTLC). UTLC was established on November, 13, 2014 by the railway administrations of Russia (99.84%), Belarus(0.08%) , and Kazakhstan (0.08%).
The creation of OTLC laid the foundation of a single integrated platform for the introduction of technologies and standards, transport and logistics services in the space of the Eurasian Economic Union, which allowed the three countries to join efforts in redirecting traffic on transcontinental routes.
The two parties stresses that the latest operational results, confirm UTLC’s business model as container integrator services provider. The parties noted that the successful implementation of OTLC’s business model is necessary to continue with the harmonization of national projects in the areas of transport and logistics infrastructure, with providing a guaranteed logistics services for the delivery of cargo, establishing a long-term tariff policy and synchronizing the timetable of container trains.
