 Contactless payment system for Bucharest metro

Bucharest underground operator, Metrorex has launched a tender for the modernisation of the access control system on the Lines 1,2 &3. The EUR 42 million project includes the installation of both magnetic cards validators and RFID modules for contactless payment in 42 metro stations and 70 vestibules.  Bids can be submitted until June 23.

The acquisition is co- financed by EU and the state budget.  The deadline to complete the modernization works is 260 days from the contract attribution date.
