Croatian Railways will introduce smartphone ticket sales and reservation

Croatian Railways will implement a new integrated ticketing and reservation system during the next 18 months. The company signed a contract with  Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH from Germany, KING ICT from Zagreb and Slovenia’s Četrt, valued at 43.3 million kuna.  Tickets can be purchased and booked online using the  Croatian Railways website or via an application for smartphones. In addition, 4 ticket vending machines will be installed in Zabgreb main railway station and aditional six in Split, Osijek, Vinkovci, Rijeka, Varazdin and Slavonski Brod.

Tickets will also be sold onbord, train conductors being equipped with mobile validating terminals  (580 units).  In addition, the existing station ticket counters will be modernised.
