DMZ to deliver 26 new EMU to Central Suburban Passenger Company

Demikhovsky Engineering Works OJSC (“DMZ”, is part of ZAO “Transmashholding”) signed a contract with  Central Suburban Passenger Company for the supply of 26 new electric ED4M. According to the agreement, the company will produce for JSC “Central PPK” 4 trains ED4M (6 car) and the 22 trains ED4M (11 cars).  All trains will be built by the end of 2014.

The 11 car compossition trains are part of electrical multiple unit ED4М production run 0500.

The ED4M trains  is well suited for organizing mass transit passenger transport, while ensuring maximum comfort and absolute safety. It has artificial ventilation in the vestibules with the separate inclusion of ventilation system and heating, new hermetically-sealed gangways , lighting systems, video surveillance and diagnosis.  New sealed sliding plug front-entrance doors opening to the high and low platforms

The new EMUs will used in the congested areas of the Moscow transport hub. Open Joint Stock Company “Central Suburban Passenger Company” (JSC “Central AUC”) is the largest passenger commuter rail company in Russia. The share of “Central PPK” in commuter traffic in the Moscow railway area is more than 80%, and its share of commuter rail transport in Russia is 60%.
