EIB: considers financing the upgrade and electrification of Pragersko-Hodos railway line in Slovenia

The European Investment Bank (EIB) said on Thursday it is considering financing the upgrade and electrification of the 160-kilometre railway line Pragersko-Hodos in Slovenia.

The project – with an estimated total cost of 330 million euro ($453 million) – includes phase I, which entails most of the works and phase II encompassing the improvement of level crossing along the line, the EIB said in a statement on its website.

Pragersko-Hodos line is part of the railway link “Lyon-Trieste-Divaca/Koper-Divaca-Ljubljana-Budapest-Ukraine border,” it said.
