Bulgarian transport minister Danail Papazov signed two contracts for rehabilitation works of Burgas railway station, one of Bulgaria’s first railway stations. Local company NK Zhelezopatna infrastruktura Burgas will carry out the upgrading works, while construction supervision services will be provided by the association Rubikon-EH 1. The project value reaches EUR 4 million (BGN 8 million).
The Rehabilitation of the Burgas railway complex station for passengers project is part of the part of a Rehabilitation of railway stations on the TEN-T network, including Rehabilitation of station complex of Central Station Sofia and Reconstruction and renovation of the entrance building station of Pazardjik railway station – stage II and is implemented with the co-financing of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Operational Programme “Transport” 2007-2013.
