Warsaw Metro has invited five companies to summit project proposals for the architectural and construction design of Line II last section towards Bemowo district. AMC Andrzej M. Chołdzyński – Metroprojekt consortium, Schuessler Plan Inżynierzy-led consortium, Ove Arup & Partners, ILF Consulting Engineers Polska and Systra SA were selected out of the seven participating organisations in the tender announced in December last year. The companies are expected to deliver the design proposals until the 4th of May 2017.
The 4 km long route will include three metro stations – Lazurowa (C03), Chrzanów (Co2) and Połczyńska (Co3) – and a depot/technical station – STP Mory. STP Mory will function as rolling stock depot and maintenance workshop, including warehouses and technical facilities, spreading on 26 hectares. The last stations of the western section should be ready in 2023.
The winner will be awarded a PLN 50,000 prize (EUR 11600) and will be invited to negotiate the contract under the single-source procurement tender procedure.
