HZ Putnicki Prijevoz and Koncar Elektricna Vozila sign EUR 213 million contract

At the Zagreb railway station, Koncar Elektricna Vozila, a unit of the local Koncar Group, and HZ Putnicki Prijevoz signed a EUR 213 million contract for the delivery of 44 train sets. It is the largest procurement of trains in Croatia, according to the local press.

Koncar Elektricna Vozila will deliver 32 electric (16 for urban-suburban and  other 16 regional traffic)  and 12 diesel trains to HZ Putnicki Prijevoz by February 2017. 

The first of the electric trains will be delivered in March 2015 with the last one set to be handed over by August 2016. The first diesel train will be delivered in October 2015 while the last one scheduled to be handed over in February 2017.
