Istanbul to announce tender for new two metro lines construction

Istanbul municipality plans to organise a tender for Atakoy-Ikitelli and Dudullu-Bostanci metro lines construction works in September.

The Atakoy-Ikitelli line on Istanbul’s European side will be 13.3 kilometers and will transport around 45,000 passengers/hour. Journey time between Atakoy and Ikitelli will be 19.5 minutes and the tender for this line will be held on September 14.

With the implementation of Atakoy-Ikitelli line, the route around Basin Ekspres Yolu will integrate with other rail systems including the Marmaray and Olimpiyatkoy-Bagcilarmetro line.

The Dudullu-Bostanci line on Istanbul’s Anatolian side will be 14.2 kilometers and is estimated to carry 45,000 passengers/hour. The tender will be held on September 10. The journey between Dudullu and Bostanci will take 21 minutes.
