Lithuania to extend “Mongolian Vector” container block train route to its territory

mongolian vectorNew possibilities of project “Mongolian Vector” development were discussed at the meeting, held with Mongolian delegation at the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania. Lithuania suggests extending the route of container train “Mongolian Vecor” from Ulaanbaatar – Moscow – Brest to Klaipeda’s Seaport.

“I believe that the Lithuanian aim to connect the route of Mongolian Vector to the line of our project Viking will be successfully implemented” – said Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Arijandas Šliupas.
Mongolian Minister of Road and Transportation Amarjargal Gansukh is expected to come to Vilnius on 3rd June 2014. On that occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation in the Field of Transport between Lithuania and Mongolia is expected to be signed.
