Lithuania seeks partnership with Mongolian Vector

The representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania and Ministry of Roads and Transport of Mongolia signed a Memorandum of Understanding that aims to enhance the bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, support and encourage investment, share technologies, information and experience.

“Lithuania puts a lot of attention in order to connect trans-European network with its neighboring countries. East-West transport link is one of the most important transport connections. Therefore, we are particularly interested in container train Mongolian Vector. Lithuania would like to became the partner of this project and extend the route of the container train to the port of Klaipėda and Polish border”, – said Vladislavas Kondratovičius, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania.
According to the Deputy Minister, it is expected that container train Vikingas, connecting Minsk – Vilnius – Klaipėda as well as Minsk – Vilnius – Šeštokai – Mockava, will be the partner of the project Mongolian Vector.
