Metro trains tender for Cairo Metro

The Government of Egypt represented by the Ministry of Transport (MOT), have applied for the loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to improve the quality of public transport in the City of Cairo.

The EUR 175 million loan will be used for procurement of metro car sets, including maintenance.

Tendering for the above contract is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2015.
