Metrowagonmash delivers first two DMUs to Serbian Railways

Metrowagonmash JSC (MWM, part of Transmashholding) has delivered the first two DMUs to Serbian Railways, as part of the US$ 100 million agreement for 27 DMUs plus spare parts worth $2.6 million, signed in October last year.
The class DP-S DMU are equipped with HVAC systems (Webasto, Germany), halogen bulb headlight and different light fixtures (bulb-based spot lights have been replaced with LED ones) over passenger doors and in gangways, air-conditioning. The DMUs are easy to access from both classic platform stations and stations without a platform. Adjustable footsteps may be controlled independently.
This order is the third DMU order placed by Serbian Railways to Metrowagonmash. The company operates 12 two-car DMUs produced over 2010 – 2012 by the Russian manufacturer.
The class DP-S DMU complies with the requirements of relevant international standards and European norms applicable to noise level, energy efficiency, materials quality and exhaust gases emission.
