Modernised Phoenix EMU presented in Poland

Polski Tabor Szynowy (Polish Rolling Stock) and H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych have presented a modernised EMU type EN57.  The Phoenix EMU is designed for regional and suburban transport. The prototype run over 4000 km without any issues during trials. The first ten EMUs will soon enter operation. 

H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych is modernising 20 EMUs type EN57 on behalf of Polski Tabor Szynowy. According to Marcin Guryniuk, President of Polski Tabor Szynowy this is the most advanced modernization of EN57 vehicles in Poland. The 120 km/h EMUs are equipped with modern air-conditioning system, integrated on-board passenger information system and facilities, 360-degree surveillance cameras.  High-quality sound proof materials were used in the modernisation and the seats were designed with in cooperation with a team of orthopedic orthopedic physicians. 

Polski Tabor Szynowy (Polish Rolling Stock) and H. Cegielski – Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych are rolling stock manufacturers part of the Industrial Development Agency (IDA JSC) owned by the Polish State Treasury.
