Mogilev-made hopper wagons for Kazakhstan on leasing terms

p3SZAO Mogilev Carriage Works (MVZ) and OAO Promagroleasing have signed a contract with Semipalatinsk Transport Company (Kazakhstan) for the delivery of 417 hopper wagons for cement transportation on international leasing terms.

The first batch of 50 wagons has already been shipped to Kazakhstan. The sides have agreed to deliver the rest in Q1 2014.

BelTA has been told that it is not the first major deal to supply hopper wagons made by Mogilev Carriage Works to Kazakhstan. In 2013 the company ETK Trans received 425 self-clearing hopper wagons for cement transportation on international leasing terms. Apart from that, an agreement to step up the volume of cooperation has been reached with the company.

Representatives of the holding company BelAZ told BelTA that the international leasing system can satisfy needs of customers as much as possible and offers a flexible way to sell products, using various schemes and delivery terms.

Mogilev Carriage Works was registered in March 2005. It uses premises of Mogilev Automobile Plant (MoAZ), which is also part of the holding company BelAZ. Mogilev Carriage Works makes railway rolling stock for cargo transportation. BelAZ owns 99% of the company’s authorized fund. At present the company employs about 1,000 people.

Founded in 2001, Promagroleasing is the national leasing company of Belarus. In 2009 the company was authorized to launch a mechanism for international financial leasing to boost sales of Belarusian products in foreign markets. In 2010 Promagroleasing started selling Belarus-made equipment under international leasing contracts to EU and CIS countries, Georgia and Africa. In March 2013 the Belarus government made a non-monetary contribution to the authorized fund of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus. The contribution of 62.5% of OAO Promagroleasing shares made the Bank the main shareholder of the leasing company.
