National Express Group PLC wants to enter Czech railway passenger market

British company National Express intends to take part in tenders for subsidised railway routes in the Czech Republic ordered by regions and the state. The company has already set up subsidiary National Express CZ.  The company wants to participate solely in tenders of regions and the state, it will not take commercial risk.

Jan Paroubek is the head of the new Czech subsidiary, previously he worked for RegioJet and Leo Express. “National Express is a company with a strong commitment to quality, its participation in the competitions will certainly bring other positive elements that subsequently will mainly benefit the  passengers,” stated Paroubek.
