Open access operator Locomore signs two rolling stock contracts

Crowdfunded German operator Locomore has signed two rolling stock contracts for its Stuttgart- Berlin regular service to be launched in December 2016. The open access operator has signed with SRI Rail Invest a  rental contract for eight passenger coaches which will be will be fundamentally modernised. The coaches will run at a maximum speed of 200 km/h and will be fitted with tables, power plug sockets and WIFI.

Locomore has also reached an agreement with the Swedish company Hector Rail which will be responsible for train operations using  Siemens locomotives (BR 182).

The operator managed to secure EUR 539.000 basic financing via crowdfunding from October until May.  Ticket sales are planned to start at the end of September. The crowdfunding campaign continues offering the possibility to sign new subordinated loans with a total sum of EUR 100.000, funding to be used for sales and marketing activities.
