PKP Intercity to invest PLN 1.8 bn in rolling stock

PKP- Intercity-to-invest-PLN 1.8 bn-in-rolling stockPKP Intercity plans to invest PLN 1.8 bn in new rolling stock, repair and modernisation of trains in he next years. For the current year, the Polish passenger operator has allocated PLN 311 million for the repair and modernisation of more than 570 wagons (PLN 247 million) and preventive maintenance of approximately 100 locomotives (PLN 64 million).

In Q1 of 2016, PKP Intercity subsidiary Remtrack and other suppliers have carried out repair (P4) and modernisation (P5) works for 173 coaches, a 140% increase compared to the same period in the previous year

In the last years, PKP Intercity has invested invested more than PLN 5.5 billion in the acquisition of new rolling stock and the modernization of old rolling stock.
