Ministers of Transport from the 57 member countries of the International Transport Forum at the OECD and more than 15 invited countries will meet in Leipzig, Germany from 18 to 20 May 2016 for their Annual Summit.
The Summit consists of three days of intensive debates and networking events engaging 1 000 attendees from more than 70 countries.
Under the theme “Green and Inclusive Transport”, the summit programme will combine plenary debates, thematic sessions, ministers’ roundtables, side events and interactive discussion formats addressing the challenges to the importance of low-carbon transport as an essential element in the transition to a green growth economy, as well as the changes needed to make transport more inclusive.
The latest confirmed speakers include Violeta Bulc, European Commissioner for Mobility and Transport; JB Straubel, Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer, Tesla Motors; Jochen Eickholt, CEO, Siemens Mobility; Kitack Lim, Secretary-General, International Maritime Organization; Angela Gittens, Director-General, Airports Council International; Yvo de Boer, Director-General, Global Green Growth Institute; and Peter Bakker, President, World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
