RUB 20 million for the reconstruction of OLE on Volga Railways network

Volga Railways allocates RUB 20 million in 2014 for the reconstruction OLE components, assemblies and structures of its network.

The upgraded  lines are expected to increase capacity, reduce overhead lines maintenance costs and improve traffic safety. The segment to be reconstructed is Saratov -1 station will supply power for over 6 tones heavy load trains on  Sizran – Mower – Saratov – Karamish – Petrov Val – Kotelnikovo route.

The project, scheduled for completion in 2016, includes the total replacement of OLE components, assemblies and structures.  In addition, works will be carried out on the reconstruction of outdoor lighting  of the station, installation of transformer substations.
