Russian Railways, INFOTRANS and Siemens AG sign memorandum on cooperation on integrated railway infrastructure diagnostics

Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice-President of Russian Railways, Igor Mikhalkin, Managing Director, Research and Production Centre of Informational and Transport Systems (RPC INFOTRANS), and Dietrich Moeller, President of Siemens Russia and Vice-President of Siemens AG, signed at InnoTrans a memorandum on cooperation on integrated railway infrastructure diagnostics.

The partners are interested in ensuring the safety of the high-speed Sapsan trains and improving the maintenance quality of high-speed rail infrastructure. To facilitate the maintenance of the electric equipment, it is proposed to equip two Sapsan trains with information-measuring systems with integrated infrastructure diagnostics.

In order to implement the provisions of the memorandum, a joint working group will be set up to agree on the key legal and commercial conditions for cooperation, a timetable and a programme to equip the electric trains with the information and measurement systems.
