The Trans-European Transport Corridor X connects Salzburg in Austria with Thessaloniki in Greece via Zagreb, Belgrade and Skopje. The increase in speed along the Serbian section of the corridor, which is one of the major traffic arteries in Europe, will lead to a significant increase in freight traffic passing through the territory of Serbia.
