Serbia: flood damage on railway infrastructure amounts to EUR 30 million

The reconstruction works of the railway infrastructure damaged by floods in May this year will be completed by October 1,  the Serbian Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure informed on Monday.

The direct damage to transport infrastructure is estimated at around EUR 140 million, according to the final reports from the Roads of Serbia and Serbian Railways public enterprises and local authorities.

The flood damage on the railway infrastructure amounts to RSD 3.42 billion (EUR 30 million), while the losses generated by interruptions in passenger and freight service operations are estimated at RSD 385 million (EUR 3.32 million).
