Skoda Vagonka completes deliveries of InterPanter EMUs to Czech Railways

Rolling stock manufacturer Škoda Vagonka has completed the delivery of 14 long-distance electric multiple units to Czech Railways (ČD). InterPanter EMUs operate regular services on the  R16 Olomouc – Breclav – Brno route and are also gradually being deployed on Brno – Czech Trebova – Praha route, and  will be guaranteed on all connections starting no later than July..

The EMU’s are designed for electrified tracks with a traction voltage of 25 kV, 50 Hz and 3 kV for the maximum speed of 160 km/h. The casing has a lightweight integral construction from large aluminium profiles. The units are equipped with  air-conditioning system, wheel-chair accessible toilets, adjustable leather seats, sockets with 230 V voltage, Wi-Fi, audio-visual information system with LCD.

Czech Railways had ordered the fleet of ten five-car and four three-car electric units for inter-regional and long-distance transport in 2014.
