South Korean high-speed rail operator studies NTV’s business model

Italy’s open-access high-speed rail operator NTV and Supreme Railways (SR), South Korean high-speed rail operator have signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of high-speed rail transport. The document, signed by NTV’s CEO, Flavio Cattaneo Bockhwan Kim, SR’s CEO, provides for the cooperation of the two parties on issues related to the growth and expansion of high-speed railway sector.

Under the MoU, NTV will have the opportunity to deepen various high technology aspects which characterize SR’s offer, while the South Korean company will make use of NTV’s experience as a new comer and will study its model for entering the high speed rail market.

SR, which is a new private subsidiary of Korail, will start providing high-speed railway services in 2016.
