Stadler Rail presents vehicle innovations at InnoTrans 2014

Stadler Rail Group will be presenting new future-oriented rail vehicles at this year’s InnoTrans in Berlin between 23 and 26 September 2014. The focus of the varied presentations at Stand 103 in Hall 2.2 and in the outside display area is on modern, individual vehicle designs characterised by technical innovation and environmental friendliness.

At the company’s stand, Stadler will be presenting, for the first time, a model (scale 1:20) of its high-speed train that won the contract for international north–south transport for SBB (Switzerland). There will also be a 1:20 scale model of the prototype for the Berlin underground, which Stadler Pankow GmbH has been commissioned with building. Other models include the KISS for Aeroexpress (Russia), the sleeper carriage for Azerbaijan and the FLIRT for Lodz (Poland). The Division Service will also be presenting its services and sites for the first time. The division covers maintenance, repair and modernisation of all vehicles and is a vastly expanding sector within the company.

The “Interactive Area” is also new this year. This gives visitors to the fair the chance to design their own vehicle from the different Stadler vehicle series. They can use a touch-screen to give their creativity free reign in terms of colours, length, width, etc.

The outside display area of the Berlin trade fair will feature two electric low-floored multiple-unit trains from the FLIRT series and a low-floored tram. The trains will be introduced to the public during one-hour-long presentations.
