PKP Polish Railway Lines, Poznań Municipality and Wielkopolska Voivodeship have signed an agreement to launch a tender for the selection of a consultant to carry out the feasibility study and the environmental impact assessment report for The construction of the third railway line along the Poznań – Poznań East main rail section project.
The value of the consultancy project is estimated at PLN 1.5 million (EUR 350,000). These are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
The 4-km line (to be decided if single or double track) is an essential part of building an integrated public transport system in Poznań agglomeration. The final element of this process will be the creation of the Poznań Metropolitan Railway, connecting the cities located by nine railway lines within a radius of 50 km around the city.
