Ukraine starts new freight wagon deliveries to Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan Railway Transport Ministry has announced receiving the first batch of the 750 new freight wagons manufactured in Ukraine has been delivered. The first delivery includes  25 covered wagons and 25 open wagons for transporting various types of cargo.

“Turkmenistan is steadily consolidating its positions as an important transort and logistics center with regional and continental importance,” the press statement says.

In 2015, Gennadiy Zubko, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Municipal Economy confirmed for Interfax that Turkmenistan’s tender for 750 freight wagons has been awarded to manufacturer Kriukov Rail Car Building Works (KVSZ).
