Ukrainian Transport and Logistics Center: cargo transportation of 141 million tonnes in 2013

Cargo transportation in wagons operated by a structural unit of Ukrzaliznytsia, the Ukrainian Transport and Logistics Center, in 2013 amounted to 141 million tonnes, which is almost the same as in 2012.

The center last year signed 1,054 contracts for providing services in goods transportation. In particular, the number of contracts for freight handling in own high-sided cars, in own boxcars – 373, in own transporters – 20, carriage of transit goods through the territory of Ukraine in own high-sided wagons – 62, transit goods through the country in own boxcars – 51.

The Ukrainian Transport Logistics Center state enterprise, a structural division of Ukrzaliznytsia, started operating on December 16, 2011. Its core business is organization of cargo shipments in Ukraine in wagons of state and private owners, realization of the marketing and tariff policies of Ukrzaliznytsia, signing of agreement with transport service consumers, organization of information accompanying of shipments, organization of shipments of cargo by rail in cooperation with other types of transport.
