United Wagon Company (UWC) signed two agremments for the supply of freight wagons. Today, UWC and the railway operator LLC “Promhimtrans” signed agreement for the supply up to 1000 innovative freight wagons produced by Tikhvin Freight Car Building Plant (managed by UWC), under a 10 years financial lease. The first batch of wagons is to be delivered next week.
According to UWC, innovative freight wagons allow market players to reduce operational costs and improve economic efficiency of the their business.
Commenting on the agreement, Alexander Lukyanenko, UWC Deputy General Director for Strategic Sales and Development, said: “Promhimtrans takes an active part in the adaptation of the design of our wagons with the requirements of the rolling stock users. This interaction allows us to keep pace with market realities. We plan to further develop our partnership. “
Yesterday, UWC also signed an agreement with Sodrugestvo Group of Companies for the supply of 600 grain hopper wagons and 400 fertilizer hopper wagons, under a 5 years financial lease. The order will be delivered before the end of this year.
