Ural Locomotives’ Lastocka EMU goes into serial production

An interdepartmental commission, formed of representatives of Russian Railways (RZD) and industry suppliers,  has certified the results of the acceptance tests undertaken by Lastochka EMU, type ES2G, manufactured by Ural Locomotives.

The Russian rolling stock manufacturer can now start the serial production of the EMUs and make deliveries to RZD.

A total of five 5-car ES2G EMUs  were produced until now and for 2015 the company plans to produce another 30 units. The EMUs run in total over 44 thousand km between Moscow, Vladimir, St. Petersburg, on the North Caucasus and Sverdlovsk Railways.
