Warsaw Tramways: only one bid received for the 5 bidirectional low-floor trams tender

Pesa Bydgoszcz SA was the sole company submitting a bid offer of PLN 47.7 million  (EUR 11.5 million) in the tender organised by Warsaw Tramways (Tramwaje Warszawskie) for purchase of 5 bidirectional low-floor trams.

The contract is for bi-directional, many-jointed, articulated, with fully low floor tramway, with a length of up to 32.5 m, having the capacity for at least 200 people in the seating and standing, having at least 28 full-size stationary seats. the tramway is equipped with Integrated Communication Module, Information System Liner, Passenger Counting System, Video Surveillance System, System Issue Ads, Event Recorder. In addition, it will have on-board energy storage, which will contribute to a significant reduction in energy consumption.

The contract also includes specialized equipment maintenance, repair & maintenance package, training, technical documentation, including licenses and software and  post-accident repairs works during the warranty period.

Delivery is scheduled between July and October 2015.

The project is co-financed by the EU Cohesion Fund, under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.
